  • Children (6–12 years): Dosage is usually determined by weight. A common starting dose is $10 \text{ ml}$ ($2$ mg) after the first loose stool, followed by $5 \text{ ml}$ ($1$ mg) after each subsequent one.

     

  • Maximum Dose: Adults should not exceed $80 \text{ ml}$ ($16$ mg) in 24 hours. For children, follow the specific chart on the bottle or as prescribed by a doctor.

  • Administration: Use the provided measuring cup. Shake well before use.

Warnings / Contraindications

  • Age Restriction: Do not give to children under 2 years old. In many regions, OTC use is restricted to children over 6 or 12 years; always check your local label or consult a pharmacist.

     

  • Dehydration: Diarrhea causes fluid loss. Always use alongside an Oral Rehydration Solution (ORS) to replace lost salts and water.
