Directions for Use

Do not use undiluted on the skin. Savlon must be diluted with water as follows:

  • First Aid (Cuts/Bites): Dilute 5 ml (one teaspoon) in 100 ml of clean water. Apply gently with cotton wool.
  • General Cleansing: Dilute 60 ml to 90 ml in 1.0 to 1.5 litres of water.
  • Bathing: Add 2 to 5 capfuls to the bathwater. (Note: Avoid mixing with soap or detergents as they can reduce the antiseptic’s effectiveness).
  • Surfaces: Dilute 30 ml in 500 ml of water for wiping down counters or floors.

Warnings / Safety Information

  • External Use Only: Never ingest. If swallowed, wash out the mouth with water, drink plenty of milk, and seek medical attention immediately.
  • Cavity Warning: Do not use in body cavities (e.g., ears, eyes, or internal areas). Avoid contact with the brain, meninges, and middle ear.
  • Sensitivity: Discontinue use if a skin rash or irritation occurs. Do not apply repeatedly to the same area of skin as sensitivity may develop.
