Detailed Description:
Indications: as an antacid: e.g. for the fast relief of indigestion, heartburn and flatulence. As a urinary alkaliniser to al symptoms associated with inflammatory conditions of the bladder. If required, to prevent crystalluria during treatment with sulphonamides.
Scheduling status: proprietary name and dosage from: ENO active fruit salt orange flavour (powder).
Composition: each 5.0g dose contains: sodium bicarbonate 2.29g, anhydrous citric acid 2.16g, sodium carbonate 0.50g.
Pharmacological classification: A 11.4 antacids.
Pharmacological action: ENO active fruit salt has antacid activity and renders the urine less acidic after metabolism.
