Vicks Medinite Syrup is used for the treatment, control, prevention, & improvement of the following diseases, conditions and symptoms:

  • Spinal block

Vicks Medinite Syrup Working, Mechanism of Action and Pharmacology

Vicks Medinite Syrup improves the patient's condition by performing the following functions:

  • Increasing the pain threshold and increases the blood flow across the skin, heat loss and sweating.
  • Stimulating alpha- and beta-adrenergic receptors.
  • Affecting the signals in the brain that trigger cough reflex.
  • Blocking the effects of the chemical histamine and few others in the body.


Vicks Medinite Syrup - Composition and Active Ingredients

Vicks Medinite Syrup is composed of the following active ingredients (salts)

  • Paracetamol - 600Mg/30 Ml
  • Ephedrine Sulphate - 8Mg/30 Ml
  • Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide - 15Mg/30 Ml
  • Doxylamine Succinate - 7.5Mg/30 Ml


Vicks Medinite Syrup - Side-effects

Vicks Medinite Syrup - Precautions & How to Use

Before using Vicks Medinite Syrup, inform your doctor about your current list of medications, over the counter products (e.g. vitamins, herbal supplements, etc.), allergies, pre-existing diseases, and current health conditions (e.g. pregnancy, upcoming surgery, etc.). Vicks Medinite Syrup - Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to Vicks Medinite Syrup is a contraindication. In addition, Vicks Medinite Syrup should not be used if you have the following conditions:

  • Alcohol consumption
  • Children less than 6 years of age
  • Hepatic impairment
  • Hypersensitivity
  • Hypersensitivity to dextromethorphan
  • Monoamine oxidase inhibitors
