What is Echinaforce® Forte?
Echinaforce® Forte is a western herbal medicine for colds, flu, and upper respiratory tract infections. Like its tablet, drop, and junior variants, it contains the Echinacea purpurea herb and root extract, which is widely-known for its immune-friendly benefits. As the name suggests, Echinaforce Forte® excels in preventing and treating colds and flu due to its extra strong, extra-concentrated dosage. The tablets inside the box are round, greenish in appearance, and are sweet tasting.
Dosage
Adults and children over 12 years:
To prevent colds and flu: 1 tablet daily before meals.
At times of increased infection risk: take 1 tablet up to twice a day.
In acute cases: 1 tablet 3-5 times per day before meals. Tablet can be chewed or taken with water 15 minutes before meals.
Children 6 – 12 years:
Prevention dose:
Take 1 tablet daily.
In acute cases:
Take 1 tablet twice daily.
Children aged 2 – 6 years:
A.VOGEL ECHINAFORCE® JUNIOR chewable tablets or A.VOGEL ECHINAFORCE® drops are recommended.
Use During Pregnancy:
Usage during pregnancy should be done under the supervision of, and on
recommendation of, a doctor.
Who Should Not Use Echinaforce® Forte
Those Sensitive to Allergens
These people should speak to their GP before using a product with echinacea.
Those Allergic to Peanut or Soya
This product contains soya polysaccharides.
Those with Lactose Sensitivities
A.Vogel Echinaforce® Forte contains lactose, which may have an effect on the glycaemic control of patients with diabetes mellitus. Patients with galactosaemia, Lapp lactase deficiency, glucose-galactose malabsorption, or fructose intolerance should not take A.Vogel Echinaforce® Forte.
