Colcin helps to reduce the inflammation, tenderness and swelling caused by gout in the joints. Colcin is not a painkiller and should not be used to treat other causes of pain.\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv class=\"has-border shadow-sm p-2\"\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003ch3 class=\"mt-4 p-2 mb-0\"\u003e\u003cstrong class=\"text-capitalize\"\u003eDosage:\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cdiv class=\"has-border shadow-sm p-2\"\u003eIn acute gout the initial dose is 0,5 mg to 1 mg (1 to 2 tablets) immediately, followed by 0,5 mg (1 tablet) every 2 hours until pain is relieved or vomiting or diarrhoea intervenes. A maximum total treatment course of 6 mg (12 tablets) should not be exceeded. Do not repeat the dose before 3 days (preferably 7 days) have passed. Alcohol is a known trigger of gout, you should not take alcohol during an acute attack of gout. Do not share Colcin with any other person. Always take Colcin exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has instructed you. You should check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure. Do not exceed the prescribed dose of Colcin as it is toxic in overdose.
