Nurofen Period Pain Tablet is used for Relief of mild to moderately severe pain, Pain in body, Joints pain, Muscles pain, Back pain, Headache and other conditions. 

  • Nurofen Period Pain Tablet contains Amylmetacresol, Codeine Phosphate, Ibuprofen, Lidocaine, Lidocaine Hydrochloride, Pseudoephedrine, Pseudoephedrine and Tribromometacresol as active ingredients.
  • Nurofen Period Pain Tablet works by blocking the production of a prostaglandin that is released in the body during pain; broken down by the liver into morphine; stopping the sensation of pain by acting on peripheral nerves in the body; causing narrowing of the blood vessels and reduces swelling in the nasal passages; inhibiting the chemical fluxes required for the initiation and conduction of impulses; killing the bacteria associated with mouth and throat infections; causing narrowing of the blood vessels and reduces swelling in the nasal passages;

Nurofen Period Pain Tablet is used for the treatment, control, prevention, & improvement of the following diseases, conditions and symptoms:

Nurofen Period Pain Tablet improves the patient's condition by performing the following functions:

Nurofen Period Pain Tablet - Composition and Active Ingredients


Nurofen Period Pain Tablet is composed of the following active ingredients (salts)

  • Ibuprofen - 400Mg
  • Codeine Phosphate - 12.8Mg
  • Lidocaine - 10Mg
  • Tribromometacresol - 0.6Mg
  • Pseudoephedrine - 8Mg
  • Lidocaine Hydrochloride - 10Mg
  • Amylmetacresol - 0.6Mg
  • Pseudoephedrine - 30Mg


Nurofen Period Pain Tablet - Side-effects


The following is a list of possible side-effects that may occur from all constituting ingredients of Nurofen Period Pain Tablet. This is not a comprehensive list. These side-effects are possible, but do not always occur. Some of the side-effects may be rare but serious.

Nurofen Period Pain Tablet - Precautions & How to Use


Before using Nurofen Period Pain Tablet, inform your doctor about your current list of medications, over the counter products (e.g. vitamins, herbal supplements, etc.), allergies, pre-existing diseases, and current health conditions (e.g. pregnancy, upcoming surgery, etc.). Some health conditions may make you more susceptible to the side-effects of the drug. Take as directed by your doctor or follow the direction printed on the product insert. Dosage is based on your condition.

Tell your doctor if your condition persists or worsens. Important counseling points are listed below.

  • Acute pancreatitis
  • Addison’s disease
  • Avoid driving a car or operating machinery
  • Avoid driving or operating heavy machinery until you know how this medication affects you
  • Avoid more than 8 lozenges in 24 hours
  • Avoid taking alcohol or other central nervous system depressants


Nurofen Period Pain Tablet - Drug Interactions


If you use other drugs or over the counter products at the same time, the effects of Nurofen Period Pain Tablet may change. This may increase your risk for side-effects or cause your drug not to work properly.   • Amphotericin B

Nurofen Period Pain Tablet - Contraindications


Hypersensitivity to Nurofen Period Pain Tablet is a contraindication. In addition, Nurofen Period Pain Tablet should not be used if you have the following conditions:

  • Active peptic ulcer
  • Acute or severe bronchial asthma
  • Allergic
  • Allergic reactions
  • Aspirin
  • Breastfeeding
